Beyoncé Knowles (26) is an American R&B singer, songwriter, record producer, music video director, actress, dancer, and fashion designer. Beyoncé is set to play R&B and Blues singer Etta James in the musical film "Cadillac Records". The film will take a look at musical legends such as Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters and Elvis Presley. Jeffrey Wright will play bluesman Muddy Waters, Columbus Short and Cedric the Entertainer have been added to tell the story of lives of such bluesmen as Little Walter and Willie Dixon. Set in 1950's Chicago, the film will also feature Oscar winner Adrien Brody as Leonard Chess, the founder of Chess Records. The period piece follows the rise and fall of Chess Records. Chess, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1987, scoured the South, checking out the various blues scenes and selling records from the back of his Cadillac.
