I was aware of the fact that Bobtjes Blues Pages played a somewhat more than marginal role in the world of the blues. Nevertheless, the sheer amount of understanding, stimulating and most of all caring reactions amazes me. I had no idea that my website was that well-liked. However, I must say that I should not be the only one to be credited for the success of the site. Without the help of countless contributors it would have been impossible to maintain such a level of quality.

(!) Of course I would also like to say explicitly thanks to my wife and son. For all those years they have supported me to go on in easy and difficult times. Without them it would have been impossible to do this.

Also, somebody reminded me that I had forgotten to mention one important reason for pulling the plug out of Bobtjes Blues Pages. And that is so true. As a matter of fact, my wife and I have made plans to emigrate to Greece. When this will happen is not yet sure. If you want to be a integral part of the population of a foreign country, it is only logical to be able to speak the language. I am now in the second year of the language course Modern Greek (evening courses) and let me tell you, I have to study hard! Combining this with my new plans of writing for magazines and photography it was very hard to keep the website going.

For now, I am working on getting the new website on line by the end of the year.

I want to thank everybody for the numerous reactions, via the site or by e-mail. It is not feasible for me to thank you all in person. I hope you will understand.
