Bert ‘Thebluesman’ Reinders is als 13-jarig jongen in aanraking gekomen met langspeelplaten van onder andere Rory Gallagher, Johnny Winter en Savoy Brown. Eigenlijk heeft hij zijn hele jeugdperiode alleen maar interesse gehad in hardrock en punk, maar is toch al weer zo’n 25 jaren helemaal bekeerd tot de blues. Ondanks dat zijn interesse begonnen is met de blanke- en de Nederblues van onder andere Cuby + Blizzards, Barrelhouse en Livin’ Blues heeft hij binnen het bluesgenre geen voorkeuren. Als het maar recht uit het hart is en de emotie de boventoon voert. Bert is sinds oktober 2006 actief bij Bobtjes Blues Pages en is tevens blues-recensent bij de jongerensite Podiuminfo. Naast zijn werk als juridisch medewerker is hij tevens de beheerder van de inmiddels bekende Nederlandse website Thebluesman.

Bert ‘Thebluesman’ Reinders was only thirteen years old when he became in contact with records of Rory Gallagher, Johnny Winter and Savoy Brown. Actually, at first he was interested in hard rock and punk, but later on the blues got all his attention which is all ready 25 years ago. He started with Nether-blues, with bands such are Cuby + Blizzards, Barrelhouse and Livin’ Blues, but he has no particular predilection. Blues has to be straight from the heart and it must be played honestly. Since October, 2006 Bert is a contributor to Bobtjes Blues Pages, and also he is contributing blues articles to the youth portal Podiuminfo. Beside his work as legal collaborator he is also administrator of the well known Dutch website Thebluesman.
