On October 10, 2009, we announced on the website and in a special newsletter that Bobtjes Blues Pages will end his activities, at least the way it used to be (see previous posts about this issue). However, we noticed that people continue to send cd's for review, or some bluesnews to publish. I was aware of the fact that Bobtjes Blues Pages played a somewhat more than marginal role in the world of the blues. Nevertheless, the sheer amount of understanding, stimulating and most of all caring reactions amazes me. I had no idea that my website was that well-liked. However, I must say that I should not be the only one to be credited for the success of the site. To avoid over and over again giving the same explanation here a short press text. At my arrival on Friday afternoon I’ve got a telephone call in order to go straight back home. My my dearest wife got involved in a traffic accident. With her small motorbike she got hit by a abstracted (?) car driver. Afterwards it appears that the damage is not that bad as we were thinking at the first moment. Which cannot be said of her small motorbike. Anyway, it could be worse. Read more
