Reverend Organdrum

Harold van Dorth's picture

Reverend Organdrum is a hobby project of guitarist/singer Jim Heath, who is the driving force behind the psychobillyband Reverend Horton Heat. In this three piece line up he is supported by Tim Alexander on the Hammond organ and Todd Soesbe on drums; yes indeed, an organ trio. Fun seems to be the keyword on this album, there is a lot of variety in their repertoire and the choice of tunes can sometimes be described as corny. They describe their music themselves as lounge, and because of the facts described before, this seems to be the best description of what you can expect. From Surfmusic to Rhythm & Blues and all kinds of standards, they play it all, even the James Bond theme! Quintin Tarantino; stop looking for music for your next movie! Summary; you will love this cult CD or just hate it. There’s no in-between. The choice is up to you to buy it.
