From June 13th to June 23rd a special USA Blues package will be touring The Netherlands and Belgium: James ‘Tail Dragger’ Jones, Henry Oden and Big Bones. The Robbert Fossen Blues Band, quoted to the top 5 of Dutch blues acts by the Dutch blues Magazine Block, will be the back up band for these gentlemen. The line up will be: Robbert Fossen (vocals, harmonica, and guitar), Harold “Fat Harry” van Dorth (guitar), Monique de Jong (bass) and Robbie Carree (drums).
Big Bones (57) is from San Francisco and he is one of the premier harp players in his hometown and the Bay Area. He opened for- and played with John Lee Hooker, Joe Louis Walker, James Cotton and Hubert Sumlin. He has a beautiful dark, low voice and plays a lot of different styles on the harmonica; from classic Chicago style to swinging west-coast and jazzy influences. Recently his great CD “So Low” was released. Henry Oden (61) is from San Francisco as well and played with the whoswho of the blues since the sixties. He backed and backs up as a bassplayer artists like Joe Louis Walker, Pinetop Perkins, Freddie King, John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, Percy Mayfield, Clifton Chenier, Craig Horton, Jimmy Reed, Big Mama Thornton, Bill Withers and many others. Henry is still a very active musician and plays all over the world. Besides playing bass, Henry is a singer and guitarplayer as well. An unique sideman, now in a frontmans roll. James “Tail Dragger” Jones (68) is one of the last “Living Legends of Chicago Blues”. He is in the Chicago Blues scene from the late sixties, early seventies. With his Howlin’ Wolf type voice, his charismatic personality and impressive performance, he’s a real crowdpleaser for decades now. It’s Chicago Blues in it’s most pure from, “The Real Deal” , not heard that often anymore, even in Chicago.
There are still dates open in the tour. When you’re interested please contact by sending an email to: info@robbertfossen.nl

Hallo Bobtje-Blues,
