British luthiers and National Reso-phonic dealers announce restructuring and expansion.

Dave King, one of Britain’s top luthiers, has announced the formation of a new partnership, Dave King Acoustics LLP. The new business merges his earlier sole proprietorship based in Reading, Berkshire and Luthiers Corner, his earlier partnership with Celine Camerlynck, based in Denmark Street, London. The new business has three partners; Dave King, Celine Camerlynck and newcomer, Bob Long, a blues musician and retired businessman.

The business now has new, larger premises in Kingsclere, Hampshire, where a former agricultural building has been converted and refitted to provide workshop space for making and repairing guitars, a spray shop for high quality finishing and refinishing, a polishing shop, office and showroom. “It’s great to have more space” says Dave, “now we can be better organised, more efficient and it gives us the room we need for building new models, including electric guitars, alongside the existing range.” Luthiers  Corner, now a trading name within the new partnership, stays in Denmark Street, London, where its central position is ideal for repairs, re-frets, set-ups and the sale of National Reso-phonic, Fine Resophonic and Santa Cruz instruments for which Dave King is an authorised dealer and repairer.
