On 11th, 12th and 13th of July coming for the 28th time the international pop festival Bospop takes place. However this year there is a wider choice of blues music, and not with just somebody. First there is on Friday 11th the kick-off with Neil Young. On Saturday 12th Blues fans can eat their heart out with the young English Band Tantrum. Boys from around 20 years, that are renewing the blues scene in their homeland. (a more detailed article of this band will follow !)

After that the turn is on Jimmy Bowskill, who left a memorable impression in the blues circuit last year. A bit longer on his way is Danny Bryant’s Red Eye Band. For him it’s confirmation that they are on stage of one of the biggest festivals in the Netherlands. Some later the turn is on to some people of the old signature, who really don’t need any introduction. Ex John Mayall an ex Stones guitarist Mick Taylor together with Barry McCabe and as finishing act nobody less than Buddy Guy. In between on the lawn Mick Hucknall, who is bringing a tribute to Bobby ‘Blue’ Band. Next day it’s an early rise for Dan Fusch from New York, who is making her European debut.

After that it’s not totally strictly blues, but very nice, Dickey Betts (ex Allman brothers) & Great Southern, Little Feat and as a closing act ZZ Top( Gibbons, Hill and Beard). For Saturday there are still only a few cards left. With 12000 people a day, the festival is sold out.
