The Belgian blues collectives the Rhythm Bombs haven’t needed an introduction for a long time. The band was born in 1999 and very soon they blossomed into the crème de la crème of the Belgian blues scene. This year they’re celebrating their 10th birthday and want to thank all their fans for the support, encouragement and the many gigs.
This summer they’re bringing out a new live-CD. In so many words, the Rhythm Bombs at their best. The album hasn’t got a title as yet, and the label hasn’t been decided either. But what we do know is that the CD will come out this summer, along with the Oetsloven Blues Festival, that (yes...!) also celebrates her 10th anniversary. The Bombs actually performed their very first paying gig at the first edition of this festival.
“And that has ‘shaped’ a certain band. That’s why we found it ideal to launch the live-CD there. A certain amount of ‘special guests’ will be performing also during this jubilee, and a party it will be for sure!” According to the spokesman of the band, Wouter Celis.
